This year the three days long event provided a unique opportunity to hear the voices of young refugees from different parts of the world, as youth was declared to be the major focus of the Consultations. The topicality of the issues on the Consultations' agenda created an engaging atmosphere of intense discussions, sharing experience on common challenges and possible solutions, getting the insights on the best practices worldwide, with a clear conclusion on that youth with 13435310_1003948222987440_5439857295664505537_nall its power, potential and enthusiasm has to be given a special attention and not be overlooked in the everyday work. The UN High Commissioner for Refugees Filippo Grandi, among others, delivered a message, which is of particular importance for Ukraine, that more attention has to be given to IDPs, as the action has to start where displacement begins. The work continues, and it is in the eyes wide open of young people, in their deep beliefs in empowerment, in their hope to achieve the best for themselves and their communities, in the worrying but strong voices of those youngsters who lost a lot and yet kept going to raise and one day tell their stories in front of the world.

Many thanks to the UNHCR, and particularly the UNHCR in Kyiv, for making the participation of 'The Tenth of April' in the Consultations possible13435529_1003948209654108_6817009498055459723_n13501597_1003948269654102_1897033275196363578_n13407062_1003948226320773_8845070629859528317_n
